dtmf controlled robot using arduino
Robots play a very important role in human life.
Robot is a kind of machine that reduces human efforts in heavy work such as industry and construction.
Make life easy.
Our next robot is a mobile or DTMF-controlled robot.
The robot controlled by DTMF runs on the mobile DTMF technology that exists in the dial tone.
DTMF represents dual-tone multi-frequency.
We use some frequencies to create DTMF tones.
Simply put, DTMF tones are generated by adding or mixing two or more frequencies.
These frequencies are given below: We can see two different frequencies in a given graph.
When an up-down frequency is mixed, a tone is generated, which we call double-tone multi-frequency.
The required component sdtmf is a dual-tone multi-frequency decoder module with the MT8870 DTMF decoder IC decoding the DTMF tone signal into an arduino digital acceptable digital signal
Here, an auxiliary wire is required to connect the DTMF module to the phone.
Remote part: the main component of this part is DTMF.
Here we get the tone from the phone by using the aux line to the DTMF decoder IC (I . e. , MT8870), which decodes the tone to a 4-bit digital signal.
Control part: Arduino UNO is used to control the whole process of the robot.
Arduino reads the commands sent by the DTMF decoder and compares them with the defined code or pattern.
If the command matches, arduino sends the corresponding command to the driver section.
Drive part: the drive part consists of a motor driver and two DC motors.
Since the arduino does not provide enough voltage and current for the motor, the motor driver is used to drive the motor.
So we added a motor drive circuit to get enough motor voltage and current.
Collect commands by driving the motor from the arduino motor driver according to the command.
The circuit diagram of the Arduino-based DTMF control robot is very similar to our other robots, such as PC control robot, line follower, gesture control robot, etc. .
Here, a motor driver is connected to the arduino for driving the robot.
The input pins 2, 7, 10 and 15 of the motor drive are connected in arduino digital pins 6, 5, 4 and 3, respectively.
Here we use two DC motors to drive the robot, one of which is connected at the output pins of the Motor Drivers 3 and 6, and the other is connected at 11 and 14.
Also use a 9 volt battery to power the motor driver driving the motor.
The DTMF decoder connected to this circuit, which plugs into the mobile device using auxiliary wires to receive command or DTMF tones.
DTMF decoding pin D0-
D3 is directly connected to Arduino\'s pin numbers 19,18, 17,16.
Two 9 Volt batteries are used to power the Circuit of the motor connected to the motor driver IC pin 8.
Another battery is connected to the power supply of the remaining circuit.
The DTMF control robot run by some commands sent through the phone.
We use the DTMF function of the mobile phone here.
Here, we show the work of the project with our mobile phone.
One is the user phone that we will call the \"remote phone\" and the other is the user phone that uses the aux line to connect to the robot circuit.
We will call this phone \"receiving phone \".
First, we use a remote phone to answer the phone, and then we answer the phone in manual or auto-answer mode.
Now, this is how this DTMF-controlled robot is controlled via a mobile phone: in the program, first, we define the output pin for the motor and the input pin for the DTMF decoder output,
Then in the settings, set the motor pin to output and the output pin of the DTMF decoder to input.
After that, we read the output of the DTMF decoder and then compare it with the defined value using the \"if\" statement and perform the related actions.
As shown in the figure, there are five conditions for this DTMF-controlled robot.
