The ribbon microphone is relatively simple than the other two.It consists of sheet metal foil located between two magnetic plates.When the sound wave falls on the foil, it vibrates, which in turn produces fluctuations in the current in the foil.
These changes in the current are perceived and reproduced in the audio signal.The ribbon microphone is a very sensitive configuration that can be used for various frequencies and produce a very rich representation of the original sound.The sound reproduction capability of the ribbon microphone is superior to that of the dynamic microphone and the capacitive microphone.
These ribbon microphones are very sensitive to physical effects.They are therefore not considered portable and are easily damaged by excessive drive.The working principle of the capacitor microphone is the capacitance effect.
The capacitive microphone features a thin diaphragm and a solid back panel.The thin diaphragm and the solid back plate act as two plates of the capacitor.When the diaphragm vibrates, the distance between the thin diaphragm and the solid back plate changes, resulting in a change in the capacitance.
This change in capacitance corresponds to the sound wave of the speaker.The capacitor microphone is used for various applications.External amplification and mixing circuits are connected via wires.
The electrical signal generated in the microphone that is brought to the external circuit through the wire.This microphone limits the freedom to move.It\'s cheaper than a wireless microphone.There is no wire to move the microphone freely.
